SBSI Recognized at Old Orchard Beach Awards Banquet

At the recent Membership Awards Banquet hosted by the Old Orchard Beach Chamber of Commerce, Saco & Biddeford Savings was named "Employer of the Year," and Mikey Rague, VP Market Manager, was awarded "Volunteer of the Year."

The "Employer of the Year" award acknowledges an employer that fosters a healthy, supportive, and collaborative work environment. This recognition is earned through exceptional human resource and management practices, including training, team building, and professional development.

The "Volunteer of the Year" award honors an individual who exemplifies extraordinary character and commitment to others, making a significant impact on the community.

“It was an honor to have two nominations coming from our branch,” said Mikey. “It’s always a great experience to attend the chamber's awards banquet and connect with our community members, but it felt even more special knowing we had been recognized by the people we serve every day.”

For Mikey, working in and for the community he’s lived in for almost 30 years now is what he loves to do.

“It’s a privilege to be able to work for a company like SBSI who continuously encourages me to get involved and I am grateful for the recognition from my peers.”
