Volunteers from Saco & Biddeford Savings Institution (SBSI) proudly rolled up their sleeves to support two impactful community initiatives.
On Friday, April 25th, SBSI team members joined the Saco Parks & Recreation Department's annual city-wide cleanup, helping to revitalize local parks, schools, trails and open spaces. Starting the day with coffee, camaraderie and a group photo, volunteers dispersed to their assigned locations, contributing their time and energy toward making Saco a cleaner, greener and more welcoming community for all.
A couple of weeks later on Tuesday, May 6, SBSI volunteers lent a hand at Camp Laughing Loon in East Waterboro. With the summer season just around the corner, the team helped prepare the beloved campgrounds by taking on light brush cleanup and painting tasks across the scenic campus.
Their efforts ensured that this historic day camp — serving kids ages 6 to 12 since 1917 — will be ready to welcome a new season of campers in a safe and beautiful environment.
Together, these volunteer efforts highlight the dedication of SBSI employees to making a positive difference — whether it’s supporting environmental stewardship or creating spaces where children can learn and grow. We’re thankful for our employees’ continued commitment to giving back and proud to support the communities we serve.
